Detroit Historical Museum

There is more to Detroit than its reputation for being the Motor City. The history of its people dates back more than 300 years. Detailed exhibits at the Detroit Historical Museum commemorate this history. The goal is to teach future generations about the struggles that the people living in and traveling through Detroit experienced.

Exhibits

Three types of exhibits comprise the Detroit Historical Museum: signature, changing, and traveling. Signature exhibits showcase Detroit’s 300-year history. Changing exhibits feature a more in-depth look at Detroit’s history and culture. Traveling exhibits are temporary displays from other museums that have a connection to Detroit.
